One of the very best Acts

I still remember what I felt when I was watching this scene for the first time..Although, I am not ok with the movie as whole for many concerns.
This scene is really deep, wonderful, the child Susan, who is the youngest among her brothers and sisters was upset with her father because "he leaves and never comes back". she refuses to speak to her father. The dramatic peak is that the father has never heard her spoken as he left when she was a baby.
However, she finally run through her father and beg him to stay in a very deep and sensitive scene with a brilliant play by the child actress and accompanied by a wonderful music.
This scene is one of the best, for what it includes of sentiments, morals, and depth.

Juma'a Prayer, live.

The Juma'a prayer here is a very nice experience, I liked to hare with ppl to understand how thgs are going here.
I recorded the recent Khutbah conducted by Ahmed Haroon, I found it a very good one to be uploaded as well.

My bid

When I was watching the famous Egyptian show "The married" ,"Al-Motazawegoon", I had no idea that I will make the same hilarious situations. Of course I am not married.
But Recently, I made a bid for a Seiko watch on ebay, and I won the bid. I bought the watch for $0.99!!
It was very exciting. But it is hilarious when I knew that shipping the watch from China will cost $16..

The "Yes We Can" fever

I am very confused about the Obama's influence on everything. The guy has been just awarded the 2009 Nobel prize for peace just by having some intentions, or by thinking.
The Nobel Committee said he won it for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples".
Come on, did that happen before in the Nobel prizes? what are the achievements?
Maybe because the US policy was directed to invading countries and many countries were on the list. But this is silly really thought.
Why everybody is impressed and binding hope on Obama? I remember now the propaganda made for his visit to Cairo to give a speech to the islamic world. While I was feeling that this speech won't have any impact on anything in the world- except traffic jams in Cairo for some few days for security reasons- ppl were really trying to pay attention to the words thrown as if Obama was going to give hints about his future plans during his speech. The speech was something like say everything about everything, so that ppl looking or sthg will find it, and will be happy. Everyone is pleased hearing Obama.
Well, I hope that I am wrong, and Obama will show he deserves this prize. We will see anyway.

No Smoking

One of the best thing that happened to me is that I did not smell cigarettes since I left Egypt.
non-smokers here have the right to say no whenever, and wherever they want. I really suffered from mixing non-smokers with smokers in my home country and I was wondering why nobody respects this! Nobody gave a damn to care about this.
Recently a new policy will be applied that smoking will be prohibited both indoors and outdoors on the entire grounds of the campus, including in all vehicles owned or leased by the University. This is really interesting.
What was going so far was that smoking outdoors was allowed on the grounds of the campus at a distance of at least 30 feet from university facilities and in designated areas.
It worth mentioning also that the smoking here is not cheap, it is relatively expensive, 7$ can be expensive for some ppl.

Encore..Worst Case

To follow on my entry of worst_case, I have just received a warning that the water has some problems to be used for drinking and cooking.
The situation is just hilarious.

Oh, US really hates me.

مصر للطيران

من اسوأ الذكريات التى حملتها معي من مصر هي رحلة السفر التى قضيت فيها قرابة 20 ساعة على طائرة مصر للطيران. واعتقد ان الرحلة أصابتنى باضرار نفسية و عصبية و مالية بالغة. لا أريد أن أخوض فى تفاصيل الفشل المروع فى كل شئ ولكنى أتذكر بعض الجمل الشهيرة التى يستخدمها سائقو الميكروباص فى مصر "البطة المرتاحة للنقل و السياحة"

Weather

If you don't like the weather today..Wit 5 minutes and definitely it will change.
The weather doesn't stop surprising me how frequent it changes, you can wake up with a shiny sun on your face. this can go away just while you are taking your Nescafe.
If you are walking on the street you can be tricked by the rain. it is very intense and quick, and suddenly nothing, but don't be too happy just one minute and will be back again.
