The Trust

I belive now that the absence of trust among team members is the first dysfunction.
The team becomes fractured...
A fractured team is like a broken arm or leg; fixing it is always painful, and sometimes you have to rebreak it to make it heal correctly. And the rebreak hurts a lot more than the initial break, because u have to do it on purpose.
If a team member has no ability to trust his teammate....Rebreak him immediately.
generally speaking, the absence of trust stems from the members' unwillingness to be vulnerable within the group.
Team members who are not genuinely open with one another about their mistakes and weaknesses make it impossible to buil a foundation for trust.

lack of team trust is the greatest jump (in the opposite direction) to success.. in case it occurs, the team has a serious problem then, more serious than other ptoblems..

when the word teamwork first emerged, i believe it was there to express how powerful coordinated group work can be comparable to individual work..

i agree to that.. provided that the team players are playing in the same team.. not just wearing the same color..

managing group work has always been an overhear comparing to individual work.. but teamwork wins.. because although there is management overhead, they can perform and produce better as a team..

the thing that is really worrying is that when team members do not actually play together... when this is the case.. i recommend individual play... it is better than building a part based on the others, and suddenly, parts don't fit together at the end... what a mess this can be..

viva individual work when team spirit isn't just there

I felt a real pain in the example you gave. I totally agree with you. Consequences of lack in trust are always negative. I believe that a teamplayers must enjoy a special harmony. Unfortunately, the general culture is: how to win a point for yourself, even if you are a team member. If we could realize the joy in sharing team success together, rather than personal, then it's not unattainable isA.

trust is a corner stone , not only in biz. but in politics , marriage , life ... practically every thing , and if we fail to build trust in one aspect we will fail in the others , we cant just stop because of the other person , we should help each other to achieve our common goal
