An egyptian student studying in Purdue, USA, got bored from working and decided to take a walk.
he put on his glasses made in Austria. He took his bicycle, he bought earlier from American market and found it was made in China, went to a Pakistani market where he bought:
1- a can of Egyptian Fava beans made in USA.
2- Mushroom soup made by Unilever India.
3- Lebanese bread.
He went back to his apartment, which he leased earlier from a Thai student. He took off his shirt his shirt made in Egypt and his shoes made in Italy.
and then made a quick meal using his kitchen tools made in China, Germany and Thailand.

This is the typical definition of globalization.

Missing my beloved one

Today I missed one of the most beloved one in my life, my grandma.
It is very hard to feel alone in these moments when you just can't find someone to share your loss. At least for me, I am just of that kind of sensitive persons.
I feel that I should go on Christmas days to Egypt, I would see her at least. I feel guilty I didn't see her since I left in 11th August.
Last time I saw her was online 3 weeks ago before the DSL connection comes down at her home.

More Security at the gates

During my last trip to Washington, I experienced a higher level of security at the Americans airports.
American citizens were really annoyed by the time it take to pass through the security checks, especially the youth.
Anyway, it is not big deal, just try to make it a little bit early to the airport to prevent missing your plane. Last time, I was the last one to board.
Frankly, I arrived to the airport very late, almost 20 minutes before the flight!

Optimizations

I bet that the most aspect ppl are trying to optimize through their lives is "Parking".
You think abt the parking before u get ur car.. Then every day, we care abt finding a spot for our car, and the spot should be near to our destination, with enough space on the two sides..
we may go further by putting the other cars into consideration...

Just think abt that, u may find that we use more optimization algorithms than we do to get married.

Wrestling to Egypt

I was wondering why didn't anybody think of promoting the Wrestling in Egypt. I think it has a potential success there.

1. People will find a chance to express their angriness instead of beating each other while driving.
2. People will find something to cheer instead of soccer.
3. Cheap sport, to start up u need only a bunch of few wrestlers having some charisma.
4. People will be busy with the story lines of the wrestling tournaments. there will be no need to fabricate fake story anymore to keep them busy.

$12 of Crap

I am not believing I am writing about this.

I preferred to let it out of my mind by posting this entry, better than keeping it inside my petty head.

It is easy to get depressed these days. Just try to act as the superhero who has plans to change the entire damn world. You probably will wake up by a kick in the head.

It started when I expressed that I like to get involved with an organization that should have some positive role in the environment I am in now.

I sent an email announcing that I represent my region. That's all wt we did.

After that, I received an email from the organization with the following message included: "we are happy that you like to represent my region but where the hell have you have been all that? Why didn't you pay the membership fees all that time? Why Suddenly you decided to join the organization?"

From my side, I did not know there is a membership fees.

Also, It is my first semester in USA. It is logical that I was not there all the past time.

and concerning the question "that why suddenly I decided to join?", it is simple, I have just hear abt it couple of weeks ago.

Anyway, I asked wt is the fees?

-Damn..All this email of rude words for 12 bucks!!! What a hell are these guys doing!

for those who don't know, you can buy lunch in restaurants by 17 bucks.

So, instead of just guiding me through steps. they picked the harsh way swearing that they are not accepting attending the meeting without paying the fees!!

Wt bloody rules they are trying to protect! is gathering the $12 more important than attracting the new students and building a stronger community. Did they guys forget that $12 is a "symbolic" fees that has nothing to do with the service/support that this organization should support!

The man who wrote this email probably spent a big time formalizing these stupid lines (more than 15 lines) and he CCed and BCCed bunch of ppl. Didn't he try to be practical for God sake! and know that the time he spent and the time all these ppl spent reading his rudy words costed more than the stupid $12 he asks for!

Can't we do sthg right! Wt a crap!

Things we say as a habit

Every 365 days, people just start to list all the bad thgs they had in the previous 365 days.
What I noticed, since I started to be aware of the world around me, that nobody says that the last year was a good year.
Since 1991, ppl says this is the worst year, and they wish the world will become better the next year.

But, this never happens, every year is worst than the previous! Though the advancement of technologies, we are driving the world to miserable year by year.
So, do u ppl say "we wish it better year" from the deep of ur heart? or u just do it as u used to.
I can't imagine for example a president wish his ppl a good year, then send them thousands of miles away to kill other innocent ppl and to be killed!!

Things propagate. If sthg, global-wise, bad happened in 2009, it will continue in 2010.
yes, and bad things in 2010 will be the new bad things.
Then, Bad things accumulate..this is fact. It is enough to wish that we sustain the current bad thgs in the world. As you see, they gave Obama the Nobel prize because he didn't let thgs go worst!
